First Time Buyers who would do it all over again!


Lisa and Graham were both first time buyers. They were renting, had one child and were finding it difficult to raise funds for the 10% deposit for their first home. Both Lisa & Graham were in full time employment, permanent and felt a little overwhelmed as to how they would ever get on the property ladder.
Realising that they needed help, they reached out to our Head of Mortgages, John Mansworth.
They first needed advice on how to apply and to get in the right position for applying.

As they made the decision to actually buy the house they were renting, no auctionner was needed. This made the process much easier fro them. We have a panal of auctioneers, solicitors and engineers that we regularly engage with so this was also helped put their mind at ease. We can manage the entire process for most clients.
Once we got through the application process and had a number of meetings to arrange the approval, we then defined a timeline for potential for the purchase. We arranged mortgage life assurance and house insurance required for the bank and then liaised with the lender on the closing date for mortgage drawdown.

Lisa and Graham signed contracts with the solicitor, funds were requested and title deeds arranged. Next and most importantly, the keys were collected and they were in!
